About Nova Scotia Health
Nova Scotia Health (NSH) provides health services to Nova Scotians and some specialized services to Atlantic Canadians. We operate hospitals, health centres and community-based programs across the province. In 2017-18, we had more than 70,000 surgeries take place in our operating rooms, performed over one million diagnostic imaging exams, and more than 560,000 people visited our emergency rooms.
NSH is the largest provider of health services in Nova Scotia, thanks to our workforce of more than 22,000 professionals. Our team includes employees, physicians, researchers, learners and volunteers who work together to provide a full range of health services. We work in partnership with community groups, schools, governments, foundations and auxiliaries and community health boards. Whether we are hosting wellness programs in the community, conducting innovative research in labs, or helping a patient recover in hospital; we are creating a healthier Nova Scotia.
Practice Opportunities
We have part-time, full-time, and locum opportunities available throughout the province in both family practice settings and specialties. We also offer a range of incentive programs to help you get here and settled.
