The Nova Scotia Health Authority has a full time position for a general pediatrician.  The position will be available as of July, 2018, in the university town of Antigonish, Nova Scotia.  A member of a group of 4 (sharing 3 FTE contracts), you will  be able to walk into a turnkey office practice with hospital privileges at St. Martha's Regional Hospital. The office is located adjacent to the hospital, which delivers approximately 400 babies annually. We have level 2 capability regarding newborn care and a small inpatient pediatric unit. We have excellent support available from all secondary level specialists and family physicians as well as hospitalists and mental health services.  We also have ready access to ENT, plastic surgery, and ophthalmology on site. Referral to tertiary care is 2 hours away at the IWK hospital in Halifax. Transport is easily accessed and we enjoy a close relationship with all subspecialty services at the IWK.

Remuneration is APP, plus call stipends and other incentives as available through the Master Agreement of Nova Scotia. Support is available for site visits and relocation.

The pediatrician must be a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) or eligible to take the Fellowship examination in Pediatrics, and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
