We are looking for anesthesiologist in Kentville, Nova Scotia. Working hours will be shared equitably and commensurate with the needs of the department, call coverage averaging 1 in 8. The Valley Regional Hospital is a 137 inpatient bed facility with Anesthesia practice including General Surgery, Urology, Ophthalmology, OMFS, ENT, Vascular Surgery, Obs/Gyn, Dentistry, Psychiatry, Orthopedics, Perioperative Clinic, minor Pediatrics, a developing Regional Block program, and the possibility of covering the 8 bed level-2 ICU.  Pay structure is Fee-for-Service, and vacation time varies from 3-9 weeks per year, depending on the work desires of each Anesthetist. Applicants should live within 20 minutes of hospital facilities, or make arrangements to stay during on-call obligations.

Applicants must be certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada to be considered for extension beyond 1 year.  Applicants also must maintain certification and competency with the practice of anesthesia, and be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
