Digby Health Service Centre

The Digby & Area Health Services Centre is a bright and welcoming space, recently constructed and opened in 2015. It is adjacent to the Digby General Hospital. Staff working at the centre include two nurse practitioners, a family practice nurse, a licensed practical nurse, diabetes clinical staff (a Chronic disease management nurse and dietitian) and a clerical team. Several part-time physicians support the practice as well.

The centre has a spacious reception and waiting area, 9 exam rooms, a staff kitchen/meeting room, and 6 office spaces. The exam rooms are fully equipped for primary care, including access to an EMR.

We are looking for a Family Medicine Physician for a Locum in a collaborative practice at the Digby and Area Health Services Centre.  Guaranteed APP daily rate or fee for service, no overhead. Flexibility to choose dates that are convenient for you and your family, including weekends. Complimentary access to a furnished apartment (provided by the Digby & Area Health Services. Centre Charitable Foundation). Efficient orientation to immediately provide care to patients.

Certification eligible form the Canadian College of Family Physicians and NS College of Physicians and Surgeons.

Support is available for site visit and relocation.
