If you are an Anesthetist looking for full time work, we at Yarmouth Regional Hospital (YRH) welcome you to join our team. Located in beautiful South West Nova Scotia, Yarmouth Regional Hospital provides a variety of services to a population of 58,000 serving the communities of Yarmouth, Digby and Shelburne.

YRH has two Minimally Invasive Suites (MIS) and a preadmission clinic where patients are prepared for surgery. We are well equipped with up-to-date anesthesiology equipment including Omnicell anesthesia computerized systems and offer services in General Surgery, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Otolaryngology, Urology, Orthopedics, Vascular, Dental and Ophthalmology completing approximately 2800 cases per year. Our operating room houses three general rooms, on average, running one to two rooms per day (8:00 am-3:30 pm), with the third room being designated for emergencies and cesarean sections. Anesthesia provides epidural services to obstetrical patients with approximately 340 deliveries per year. On call coverage would be required with a requirement for equal participation in the on call rota.

On the southernmost tip of Nova Scotia, Yarmouth has beautiful landscapes, with rugged and sandy ocean fronts, rolling hills, old growth forests, bustling business districts and clean cottage country lakes. The town has lots of activities including music, water sports, school and community sporting leagues, dancing, theatre, pottery, photography, wood carving, quilting and so much more. There are walking/biking trails, a local YMCA, arts centre, local coffee shops, Mariners centre (hotckey/skating), Cape Forchu light house, beautiful beaches, and also the NS-Maine Ferry, to name a few highlights of the town. Preferred candidates are certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
