Family Medicine physicians are needed to join our dynamic team at South Shore Regional Hospital (SSRH) to provide obstetrical and newborn care to residents of the South Shore.  

We are a collaborative group dedicated to providing excellent outpatient and inpatient care while supporting the professional growth of our team members. In our group, mentorship is a priority for newer physicians and for each other. SSRH provides 24-hour obstetrical and anesthesia services as well as an experienced and committed contingent of nursing professionals. Work schedules are flexible and sessional payment, plus call stipend, ensures that all patient follow-up is the shared responsibility of the group. Therefore, when your shift is finished, your time is your own.  

Join us in one of Nova Scotia’s most beautiful regions as we continue to build a welcoming and professional obstetrical community on the South Shore.

Candidates must be certified or be eligible for certification by the Canadian College of Family Physicians and maintain certification of competency. As well, candidates must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.

Support is available for site visit and relocation.
