The North Queen’s Community Health Centre in Caledonia is seeking a part-time or full-time physician to join their family practice. The new physician will provide family practice care to the community of Caledonia while working in collaboration with two Nurse Practitioners (1 full and 1 half time). In addition, weekly lab services, bi-weekly mental health and addictions service, diabetes education, weekly opiate-use disorder clinic and monthly clinical nutrition are available. The North Queen’s Community Health Centre is run by a community board, which is pivotal in the community providing fantastic community support for providers and the Health Centre.
Caledonia offers a P-12 school and local amenities. It is in close proximity to Kejimkujik National Park and Historic site offering Nova Scotia’s only Dark Sky Preserve. This area offers affordable housing and amazing opportunity for camping, hiking, canoeing, sightseeing, enjoying white sand beaches, lake waters, coastal bogs and wildlife. Excellent area to explore an interest in hobby farming.
Candidates must be certified or be eligible for certification by Canadian College of Family Physicians and must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
