About the Opportunity
The Department of Medicine in Halifax is seeking 3 Rheumatologists to join the medical community in the greater Halifax area. The successful candidates will participate in the delivery of rheumatologic care in a private practice setting with the potential for collaboration with the university-affiliated Rheumatologists. The catchment area includes patients from across the province which allows for a wide referral base. This is a fee for service opportunity allowing for flexibility in hours as well as work environment (eg. solo practice, co-located with family physicians or other specialists, etc.).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Care of new and return patients with rheumatologic conditions
• Full scope rheumatology position
• Requires affiliation with the Central Zone of the Nova Scotia Health Authority
• Call coverage is negotiable
Expected Hours
• Permanent, full-time positions
• Flexible working hours/days
Qualifications
• Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPSC)
• Eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia (CPSNS)
• Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA)
