About the Opportunity
Nova Scotia Health is seeking expressions of interest for the role of Site Lead for Access and Flow at the Aberdeen Regional Hospital in the Northern Zone. Reporting to the Zone Medical Executive Director, the Site Lead is responsible for working with all Departments at the Aberdeen Regional Hospital and zone counterparts to implement improved access and flow initiatives.
- Attends meetings of the Access and Flow Network Council and contributes to the Network by sharing local context and by participating in the development of strategies, policies and procedures that promote increased access and flow of patients
- Acts as the champion at the site for promoting and implementing best practices related to access and flow as determined by the Access and Flow Network. This includes working across all departments at the site and leading the implementation of policies and standards as well as evaluating their impact.
- Responsible for developing and implementing a plan focused on improving access and flow for the regional site as well as surrounding area community hospitals.
- Works with the Medical Site Lead to manage issues related to access and flow and make improvements where identified.
- This includes acting as the point of contact for access and flow issues and facilitating resolution.
- MD licensed in Nova Scotia and privileged with Nova Scotia Health
- Evidence of past and ongoing leadership training.
