About This Opportunity
Cole Harbour based Forrest Hills Family Practice is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join its professionally managed clinic. This clinic is located in the heart of Cole Harbour and is a comfortable commute from downtown Dartmouth. The clinic is professionally managed and fully supported by friendly administrative staff. This position comes with an existing patient roster and the compensation structure for this 1.0FTE position is fee-for-service.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
