About This Opportunity
The Eastern Passage Family Practice is seeking a full-time family physician to join this up and coming collaborative practice expected to be available in March, 2022. The clinic is a community-based practice providing access to primary care as well as allied health professional services in mental health. This is an NSH turnkey site fully supported by administrative staff, offering competitive overhead fees and is on EMR, MedAccess. The remuneration model for this full-time, 1.0FTE position is still under review. The practice will also be affiliated with the Pleasant Street Family Practice in Woodside.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
