About This Opportunity
Masstown Collaborative Family Practice is a brand new Nova Scotia Health turn-key clinic. Co-located with a pharmacy, next door to a Tim Hortons, and across the road from the famous Masstown Market, this new clinic is in an excellent location to serve its patients.
Masstown Collaborative is seeking a family physician to join this Collaborative Team consisting of nurse practitioners, family practice nurse, and admin. This is a full scope practice providing care for patients at all stages of life. The clinic is fully integrated on the MedAccess EMR System.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures; advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners’
Act as a patient’s advocate
Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
Expected Hours
Full Time, or Part-time available
37.5 hours a week (full time)
46 weeks a year
