About This Opportunity
Lockview Medical Clinic is an easy commute to downtown Halifax and is seeking a full-time Family Physician to join their team. This professionally managed practice is comprised of 4 Family Physicians currently working full-time and part-time and would welcome an addition to their team. The clinic offers support from experienced friendly staff and competitive overhead fees for the area. This is a full-time opportunity and one that offers the opportunity for you to build your patient roster. Schedule can be flexible based on the Physician's availability.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Examine patients and take their histories, order diagnostic tests and laboratory procedures
- Advise patients on health care, health promotion, and disease prevention
- Consultation and referral to other medical practitioners
- Act as a patient’s advocate
- Prescribe and administer medications and treatments, inoculations and vaccinations
- Report births, deaths, contagious and other diseases as per Nova Scotia Public Health requirements
